The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires that the ‘Responsible Person’ must provide their staff with: “adequate fire safety training” that must be “suitable, sufficient and appropriate” and be “repeated periodically” This training must include the practical use of Fire Extinguishers appropriate to the workplace risks and delivered by a competent and suitably qualified instructor.
